WSMV 4

The 2010 Tennessee Gubernatorial Debate at Belmont University was seen live all over the state of Tennessee. I came up with several designs, but the final one chosen by both us and folks at Belmont was this simple, yet flexible design. The secondary design allowed the other stations across TN to brand the coverage as well.

The Get Fit Challenge is a "Biggest Loser" style competition. Select Channel 4 viewers competed against them selves and others to see who could lose the most weight. Channel 4 teamed up with Subway and other sponsors to host the challenge. Several designs where considered but the end logo design ended up in the familiar style of NBC's Biggest Loser, and incorporate Subway and WSMV. I chose to use only colors from the Subway logo, even making the 4 and NBC peacock colors from the logo.

Craig J Ciali, Director

Craig wanted a way to identify him self with a brand mark. We went over a several ideas, and tried to stay away from film cliches like reels, camera lenses, and film strips. I ended up playing off the two C's in his name. The inside C started out as the outer edge of a film reel, and the outer C the film being fed from it. The logo was printed on business cards and used on his site.
